Why I built theDrawwings
I’m fascinated by the concept of sovereignty—what it truly means for us as individuals.
Maybe it’s not the only missing piece, but perhaps it’s the core place we should begin when looking at ourselves and our lives. Too often, we overlook our centre—our inner authority—and place our focus on external solutions.
In doing so, we fuel a vast economic system that’s all too eager to offer fixes and fill our perceived gaps, rather than guiding us inward to unearth what’s truly missing.
As we move deeper into the 21st century—with more of our lives increasingly shaped by The Biggies—Media, Pharma, Government, Food and Agri-tech—there’s never been a more important time to pause and ask ourselves two questions:
-
Where do I end, and where does the outside world begin?
-
And how do I navigate the space between with clarity, personal power, and agility?
Integration.
Expansion.
Sovereignty.
About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah and welcome to theDrawwings
I created this space because after years of trying to fix myself, mostly from the outside in, a bigger picture began to emerge.
I started to realise that all the wellness tools, self-help strategies, and personal development programmes I’d been working on weren’t fully landing—because I wasn’t rooted in my own sovereign self.
Sovereignty is the framework upon which we build the whole of our lives. In my case, poor foundations led to a very wobbly structure—more of a dilapidated building than a solid, secure abode.
When we’re disconnected from our inner self—even partially—it becomes almost impossible to shift anything. After all, how can you change or invest in something you’re not truly connected to?
Get to know me…
I like blustery walks, open fires, and dogs at my feet ◦ proper food is a must ◦ so are the seasons ◦ I follow the Pagan calendar and lean into non-commercial celebrations ◦ I’m happiest on beaches and in the hills and dales—anywhere grassy, woody, craggy, sandy, or wild ◦ I love fast cars with noisy engines, train journeys, and unstructured road trips ◦ long travel, short city breaks, adventure, amazing views, sunrises, and sunsets feed my soul ◦ I think I mentioned dogs and fires already ◦ at the very least, my real essentials are: nice rough towels, quality bed linen, proper meals, and decent matching undies.
Organic Sovereignty
We often assume we’re sovereign beings. We make choices, pay bills, express opinions. We enjoy freedoms our ancestors could only imagine. But sovereignty isn’t just about functioning in the world. It’s about the quality of your relationship with yourself — and the intentional structure you build around that relationship.
Because sovereignty is mostly developed organically rather than strategically, there are gaps. We grow parts of ourselves at different rates. We might lead confidently at work, but feel small at home. We might speak clearly in a boardroom, but shrink in intimate relationships.
What you cultivate within — how you organise your inner world, the standards you hold, the respect you give yourself — shapes every choice you make on your own behalf. And more than that: without a defined, active partnership with Oneself, there is no true sovereignty. Only reactivity. Compromise. Unconscious participation in systems that do not serve your wellbeing, your growth, or your true and honest self.
Sovereignty means taking full responsibility for what is yours—your energy, time, values, body, needs, and voice. Not in theory, but in daily practice.
In every moment, you are feeding something: your evolution or your depletion. There is no neutral.
This begins with Oneself—the foundation of all real transformation. Without clarity on who you are, where your edges lie, and what you honour, you can’t discern what aligns—or what erodes you.
This includes your relationships, food, work, media, and even your own thoughts. When you’re unclear within, you let in what wears you down. Neglecting your sovereign terrain lowers your standards in the outer world, often without realising it. You start to tolerate poor governance, broken systems, low-quality food, manipulative messaging—not because you agree, but because you haven’t declared: “I am worthy of more—and I will lead myself toward it.”
Sovereignty isn’t a concept. It’s a lived standard—a frequency that shapes your actions, clarity, and boundaries. It starts with one defining line: Where do I end—and where does the world begin? From that edge, we begin with the most essential territory: Oneself.
As within, so without.
